Sun 6th Jan	Task Day  Bonfires in The Hag Woods.  Usual 10.00 start at layby on Long Lane
Tues 8th Jan	Open Meeting    Illustrated Talk entitled “A look at Costa Rica” by Peter Mason, the Group’s official photographer.
Sun 27th Jan	Task Day  Hopefully keeping warm with another bonfire in the Upper Wood  with a bit more woodland management.
Tue 12th Feb	Open Meeting  Illustrated Talk entitled ”The History of Castleton” by Peter Harrison.  Peter last gave us a lecture on the development of his Blue John mine and his knowledge of this area is second to none.
Sun 24th Feb	Task Day  Nature Trail repairs and goyt clearance.  Meet at Rails Road car park.
Tue 11th Mar	Open Meeting  Illustrated Talk entitled “Icy Realms and Southern Seas” by Peter Robinson.  Peter has regaled us several times with accounts of his exploits and adventures.  This is one for those who miss Sheffield winters of old!
Sat 22nd Mar	River and Pond Dipping  The annual check on the diversity of life in the watery habitats of our valley.  Meet 10.00 am. At Rails Road.Ideal Event for the younger members– but bring a parent!
Sun 30th Mar	Task Day  Estate Management work at Carver Fields.  We agreed to look after the routine maintenance of this local recreation area for the Methodist Church as long as it remains a public open space.  Clearance, hedge trimming, fence repairs, seats and a bonfire.
Tue 15th Apr  Note:-  This is 3rd Tuesday	R.V.C.G.A.G.M.  Your favourite event on the Social Calendar.  Short business, Quiz, Displays and of course Glenda’s cakes and coffee.  It is important that members participate fully in the life of the Group.  You won’t necessarily end up with a job
Sun 20th Apr	Visit.  Potterick Carr – Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Reserve.  Well worth a trip following latest developments.  Loads to see and an excellent Field Centre and Café.  £1.50 entry.  Meet there at 10.30.  Shared car travel.  Contact Janet to book, offer or request transport
Sun 27th Apr	Task Day- Spring Clean  Our annual attempt to spruce up Rivelin  Valley – Road, River and Trail.  10.00 am. Havelock Pond Car Park
1st to 31st May	Environment Weeks in Sheffield Make sure you have a programme.  Our Events are:-
Sun 4th May	Not The Dawn Chorus   Meet 8.00 am. at Pudding Ladies Cafe.
Tue 20th May	Evening Walk  Meet at Three Merry Lads at 7.00pm.
Sun 25th May	Task Day  Revelling in Rivelin.  Meet at Rivelin Mill at 10.00am.

There is a small admission and refreshment charge at the 7.30 Open meetings at Stephen Hill.

All our Meetings are "open" - Non-members are especially welcome
