The Sheffield Wildlife Trust
was first formed, as a local
voluntary membership organization (the Sheffield City Wildlife Group),
in 1985. The Group brought together a range of local people with an
interest in their local natural environment, and allowed the
co-ordination of their efforts to benefit both the people and wildlife
of Sheffield.

the Porter Valley” was set up in 1994 to preserve and enhance the
natural and historical characteristics of the Porter Valley for public
benefit. Our area of interest is from Hunter’s Bar to Porter Clough.
